Ave verum corpus natum de Maria Virgine,
vere passum immolatum in cruce pro homine.
Cujus latus perforatum unda fluxit sanguine.
Esto nobis praegustatum, mortis in examine.
O dulcis, O pie, O Jesu, fili Mariae,
miserere nobis.  Amen.

English translation:
Hail, true body, born of the Virgin Mary;
having truly suffered, sacrificed for man on the cross.
Whose pierced side flowed with water and blood.
Be for us a foretaste in the test of death.
O sweet, O loving, O Jesus, Son of Mary,
have mercy on us.  Amen.
