Sources: Lectionary for Mass, New American Bible

Antiphon Text: 1. Taste and see the goodness of the Lord. 2. My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God. 3. The Lord gave them bread from heaven. 4. I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the Lord. 5. The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.

Notes: These were composed before there was a general increased interest in singing proper communion antiphons (see my settings of those available elsewhere on this website). In addition to the possibility of using this set as general communion pieces, since they are actually responsorial psalms, they may be used for the latter purpose according to the chart placed in the lyrics section of this entry.
