O God, you are my God.
At first light I seek you.
My soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

So do I look for you in the sanctuary,
to behold your power and your glory.

And I will praise you with my life;
for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I sing for joy.
