Simile est regnum caelorum homini patri familias, 
qui exiit primo mane conducere operarios in vineam suam.
Conventione autem facta cum operariis ex denario diurno, 
misit eos in vineam suam.
Et egressus circa horam tertiam 
vidit alios stantes in foro otiosos,
Et illis dixit: Ite et vos in vineam meam; 
et, quod iustum fuerit, dabo vobis.

English translation:
The kingdom of heaven is like a landowner 
who went out at dawn to hire laborers for his vineyard.
After agreeing with them for the usual daily wage, 
he sent them into his vineyard.
Going out about the third hour, the landowner 
saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
and he said to them, “You too go into my vineyard, 
and I will give you what is just.”
