Lyrics:

Justorum animae in manu Dei sunt,
et non tanget illos tormentum mortis.
Visi sunt oculis insipientium mori,
illi autem sunt in pace.

English translation:
The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.
They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead . . .
But they are in peace.

Notes: SATB with Alto, Tenor, and Bass divisi. Liber Usualis, 1974 Graduale Romanum, (and Gregorian Missal): all say “malitiae” where the Jackson setting (like Byrd) says “mortis.”
