Benedixisti, Domine, terram tuam:
avertisti captivitatem Jacob.

English translation:
Drop down dew, you heavens, from above,
and let the clouds rain the Just One;
let the earth open and bud forth the Savior.

Lord, you have blessed your land;
you have turned away the captivity of Jacob.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, 
is now, and ever shall be,
for ever and ever. Amen.
