Donald K. Fellows, a native of Glen Cove, New York, was Organist and Director of Music of Saint Paul Cathedral, Pittsburgh. He joined the cathedral staff in September of 1999 as the cathedral's Organist and Associate Director of Music. His duties included the coordination of the music for over 700 events annually, in addition to managing the cathedral's organ concert series featuring the landmark Beckerath organ. He retired in 2021. In 2005 Don joined the faculty of the Department of Music of the University of Pittsburgh as adjunct organ instruction. He is active in several professional organizations including the Conference of Roman Catholic Cathedral Musicians, and the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Prior to Don's appointment at St. Paul Cathedral, he was Chair of the Fine Arts Teaching Area, and Director of Liturgical Music at Wadhams Hall Seminary-College, and as Music Director of St. Mary's Cathedral, both in Ogdensburg, New York. Former Dean of the St. Lawrence River Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, he served as Associate Organist and Choirmaster of Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago from 1991-1993 working with Music Director Richard Proulx, and from 1982-1991 as Director of Music of St. Joseph Cathedral in Buffalo, N.Y. Upon graduation from SUNY at Fredonia he served as Music Director of Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk. He earned the Bachelor of Music degree and Master of Music degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 1980 and 1987 respectively, with John Hofmann as his primary teacher. Earlier organ studies were with G. Paul Eschenauer. He pursued further studies in Cambridge, England in 1985 in the Cambridge Choral Institute as a student of John Scott. These varied experiences have provided opportunities for him to perform organ recitals throughout the United States, as well as Rome, Dublin, and Madrid. Don's compositions are published by GIA Publications, Inc., MorningStar Music Publishers, and Augsburg Press.
