Notes: (From the printed score): This setting was written for use in Westminster Cathedral. It may be rendered with one or two organs, but the choir organ part is not written for a chamber organ and should be coloured with a well supported and majestic sound with pedals. The chant is to be sung in a declamatory and robust style without affection but gently nuanced by word accents and hemiolas. The musical gestures in the accompaniment are heavily shaped by the text.
