Salve Regina, mater misericordiae: Vita dulcedo, et spes nostra salve. Ad te clamamus, exsules filii Evae. Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes, In hac lacrimarum valle. Eja ergo, Advocata nostra, illos tuos misericordes oculos ad no converte. Et Jesum, benedictum  
ventris tui, nobis post hoc exilium ostende. O clemens: o pia: O dulcis Virgo Maria.

Translation:
Hail, O Queen, Mother of mercy; Our life our sweetness, and our hope: hail! To thee we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee we send up our sighs, groaning in this valley of tears. Hasten therefore, our Advocate, and turn your merciful eyes toward us. And show us Jesus, the blessed fruit of your womb, after this exile. O merciful, O pious, O sweet Virgin Mary.
