Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. Keep in mind the gift of God bestowed upon you when hands were laid upon you. Stir into flames of zeal this heavenly gift; for this is not a spirit of timidity and fear, but the Spirit of power, love and self control, where by we are made strong, loving and wise! Therefore persevere; for the sake of the Good News, rely on the power of God who has saved us and called us to be holy. This grace was given to you before the beginning of time.
