er reichet die Höhle, die Jesum bedeckt!

Preis und Dank 
bleibe, Herr, dein Lobgesang.
Höll und Teufel sind bezwungen,
ihre Pforten sind zerstört.
Jauchzet, ihr erlösten Zungen, 
daß man es in Himmel hört.
Eröffnet, ihr Himmel, die prächtigen Bogen, 
der Löwe von Jude kömmt siegend gozogen!

English translation:

Come hasten and run,
you nimble feet.
Make haste for the cavern where Jesus has lain.

XI.
Praise and thanks
Bide, Lord, your song of praise.
Hell and devil are now vanquished,	
And their portals are destroyed.
Triumph, you ransomed voices,
Till you be heard in heaven.
Spread open, you heavens, your glorious arches;
The Lion of Judah with triumph shall enter!
