Lyrics: Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor. Exsultemus et in ipso jucundemur. Timeamus et amemus Deum vivum Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. Simul ergo cum in unum congregamur: Ne nos mente dividamur, caveamus. Cessent jurgia maligna, cessent lites. Et in medio nostri sit Christus Deus. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. Simul quoque cum beatis videamus. Glorianter vultum tuum, Christe Deus. Gaudium quod est immensum, atque probum: Saecula per infinita saeculorum. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. Amen. English translation: Where there is charity and love, God is there. The love of Christ has gathered us together. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let us revere and love the living God. And from a sincere heart let us love one another. Where there is charity and love, God is there. Likewise, therefore, when we come together let us be united as one: let us be careful, lest we be divided in intention. Let us cease all quarrels and strife. And let Christ dwell in the midst of us. Where there is charity and love, God is there. May we also see, along with the blessed, the glory of your face, O Christ. And let there be immeasurable joy both now and for evermore. Where there is charity and love, God is there. Amen.
Notes: This is an accompanied setting, so not useable Holy Thursday if one does not play the organ after the Gloria. Obviously, it can be used for other occasions, particularly those with a theme of love or charity.
