English translation:
“Hail Mary, sweet Mary, thou mother of mercy,”
the chorus of angels were singing to Mary,
adoring the maiden while praying for her.
	
“O Mary, sweet maiden, a son thou art bearing!
For earth and high heaven are longing
that you be the mother of Jesus our Lord.”

“O angels, how is it that I will be laden?
For never was I in my life wed in marriage,
O never wed in this whole wide world.”

“As dew is falling on flowery meadows,
the Heavenly Spirit shall wholly embrace thee,
and thus the Savior be born of thee.”

Then Mary is glad to hear the tidings,
the gentle immaculate maid of heaven.
“O let this blessing come unto me.”

The angels were bending upon their knee,
and all were singing to Mary the song of praise.
