Hodie Christus natus est.
Hodie Salvator apparuit.
Hodie in terra canunt angeli,
laetantur archangeli.
Hodie exultant justi dicentes:
Gloria in excelsis Deo
et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis.

English translation:
Today Christ is born.  The Savior has appeared.
Today on earth the angels sing, the archangels rejoice.
Today the righteous exult, saying:
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to people of good will.
